The user creation process is facilitated by the client (district) providing a flat-file staff and student roster in a predefined template that contains the usernames. Alternatively, the user accounts can be created manually, directly on the AIM website in the portal. The passwords are defined during the roster import and can be set to unique values (such as the user codes provided in the rosters), or they can be set to a default password for all user accounts to allow easier onboarding on the platform.


Additionally, at this time users can be authenticated on the portal via an API passthrough, ClassLink, or Google SSO. All authentication methods are secured with 256-bit SSL encryption.
